Why I Decided to Use a Stage Name

My mother actually decided to give me a stage name. She's been actively following my film career. Pushing me along in the direction that she thinks will be the most successful. You know how mothers are. She said to me one day, "I think making Prince your last name would do the trick." Okay,"I said."

Why was I so quick to agree. Well, I all has to do with a girl. Isn't that always the case. However, to time sake, an old friend of mine had posted an short article about Prince, the singer. For whatever reason, I happened to see it and read the headlines. Prince,"The best artist to have done the music business." I continued to read. It went on to say that Prince was the very best example of how work the business. No doubt Prince is successful but clearly the man had accomplished something very few artist will ever and that's being and artist and business man. Prince had used the celebrity stage, money, power, artistry all to perfection and that was the point of the article. I agree.

So after reading article, my mother called a few days later with a suggestion to change my name I was happy to dawn the name of an artist who was considered the best at his craft. I to hope that for myself as I continue to build DA Vision into a shining example of greatness. After all, it's all in the name.
